Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: What does booking a session entail?

Answer 1: To book a session, I ask you fill out the form related to the type of session you're looking for. After that, I'll confirm the date and time of our session, and you'll pay the deposit if one is required [as mentioned some types of sessions don't require one]. The day of your session we'll meet, and have about half an hour to take photos from your suggestions, references or what ideas I have. After our session, I'll get to working on edits - you will receive at least the minimum listed in the session type. Delivery of the edits will be via a google drive folder from which you can download them in high quality edits, as well as posted in the official facebook/website galleries.

Question 2: Deposit and Payment for Sessions

Answer 2: In order to book your session, I require atleast 50% deposit of the total [once a date and time are agreed upon]. Remaining amount can be paid later at the time of the session. Payment can be via Venmo, Paypal or in cash, whichever is easiest for the client - payment can be discussed as session details are scheduled. Please note that some events have this deposit policy waived.

Question 3: Cancellation and Refunds

Answer 3: Cancellations LESS THAN 24 HOURS notice or no-showing the agreed session will result in a forfeiture of the deposit. Cancellations atleast 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE will have their deposit fully refunded.

Question 4. Will I receive the raw photos from our session?

Answer 4: Unfortunately no, I do not provide raw [unedited] photos back to my clients. The photos you receive after our session will be edited and marked with a watermark that I respectfully ask not be removed.

Question 5. I need additional edits done after you've sent them/I'm not satisfied with what I've gotten back, can I fix it myself?

Answer 5: I will gladly attempt to fix whatever it is you do not like about the edits I provide you with. Please do not re-edit over the photos I have sent you.

Question 6. You fixed the edits liked I asked and I'm still not happy, now what?

Answer 6: If I cannot fix things for you in a satisfactory manner, I can offer you a redo session to the best of my scheduling ability. If a redo is not possible, I will provide a partial refund for the inconvenience.

Question 7: Am I able to pay for additional edits after the minimum listed in the services page?

Answer 7: Of course! Additional photos are currently priced at $2.00 per photo.

Question 8. Do you work with minors [those under 18 years of age]?

Answer 8: Only after a guardian for said minor is aware and explicit written or verbal consent has been obtained prior to the session. A guardian's email and phone number is requested in the booking form in order to make sure consent is obtained/guardian is made aware.

Question 9. Can I bring a trusted friend/guardian to the photo session?

Answer 9: Of course! It's always good to have a second person that can make sure outfits are in top shape and wig fibers are where they should be for photos - or to give treatos to pets in between photos! It's also a neat way to show them behind the scenes of that favourite photo. As a photographer, I also will have an assistant with me.

Question 10: For on location sessions, how far can you travel?

Answer 10: I do not currently have a car of my own, but I can use public transport to get mostly anywhere within the greater Milwaukee area - trips to Madison, Green Bay and Chicago can be set up outside of their local convention appearances, but there are multiple logistics to work that out so patience with planning is appreciated.

Question 11: How would you like me to credit you?

Answer 11: I simply ask when you post the photos I've taken for you, that you credit either my Instagram (@komorebi_flash) or my Facebook page, Komorebi Flash Media in order to give proper credit. You have my word as a photographer that I will tag your social media accordingly if I post you in return.

Question 12: What's your stance on A.I.?

Answer 12: I do not support the use of A.I. [Artificial Intelligence] technology in anyway. My photos may not be used as references for AI creations.
