Meet the Photographer

Hi there - I'm Robin Alexander. I've been offering photoshoots to a variety of clients since late 2020, when the pandemic boredom lead to purchasing my first professional setup of a Canon Rebel Ti6 and holding impromtu shoots with my pets as I began my journey behind the lens.

I am entirely self taught for my photography editing, and every photoshoot is an opportunity to learn something new! I'm always eager to help clients capture their vision - whether it be documenting a cosplay with hours of work in it, commemorating graduations, surprising soon-to-be family members with pregnancy or engagement announcements, or simply locking in the perfect headshot for their LinkedIn profile.

What is Komorebi?

Komorebi is one of those words from another culture where there is no proper English translation of it - a concept so beautiful it's hard to put into words. In this case, the word is of Japanese origin, for the sensation of when sunlight is filtering through the trees.

Part of the reason I chose Komorebi as my brand name was that I wanted the name to reflect its meaning for my clients after they've worked with me - the photos you will get back are precious moments frozen in time, like the serene peace of sunlight filtering through the forest on a nature walk where you're at one with the world for a brief moment.
